What is Cap Fi and how do you work?
Cap Fi is a commercial finance brokerage led by Managing Director Christopher Satterwhite II. We are not a single lender. We take your file to a network of specialty lenders, banks, funds and finance companies across the United States, then bring back the structures that actually fit your business so you can compare rate, term and payment side by side.
What types of financing can Cap Fi arrange?
Equipment financing, commercial vehicle and fleet financing, working capital, business term loans, SBA financing, commercial real estate loans, merchant financing and start-up financing. We also advise on treaty-based structures such as the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.
How fast can I get approved?
Straightforward equipment and working capital requests are often approved within 24 hours of a complete submission. Larger or more complex transactions such as commercial real estate or SBA files take longer because of appraisal, title and underwriting requirements.
What documents do I need to apply?
For most requests we start with a one-page application, the last three to six months of business bank statements and an equipment quote or invoice if you are buying a specific unit. Larger transactions may also require business and personal tax returns, a debt schedule and a current profit and loss statement.
Can I get financed with challenged or limited credit?
Often, yes. We regularly place A through C credit tiers, including owner-operators and start-ups who have been declined elsewhere. Down payment, collateral quality, time in business and cash flow all influence the structure, so a lower score does not automatically end the conversation.
Do you finance start-ups and first-time owner-operators?
Yes. Start-up programs exist for equipment and commercial vehicles, typically with a larger down payment or additional collateral. We will tell you up front what the realistic terms look like before you spend time on paperwork.
How much can I borrow?
Requests typically range from about $25,000 to several million dollars depending on the product, the collateral and your financials. Christopher has funded more than $25 million in secured capital for clients across these programs.
What does it cost to work with Cap Fi?
There is no fee to submit a request and review your options. Broker compensation is disclosed in the terms you receive, so you always see the payment, rate and term before you sign anything.
Do you work with businesses outside Virginia?
Yes. Cap Fi is based in Virginia and arranges financing for businesses throughout the United States through a nationwide lender network.
Can I finance used equipment or a private-party purchase?
Yes. We place both new and used equipment, including private-party and auction purchases, subject to the age, hours and resale value of the unit.
